Platform Rules
How to be a good user
We built this site to be a fast, clean, and useful tool for finding sounds. To keep it that way, we ask you to follow a few simple rules. These are not just 'recommendations'—they are requirements. Violating them will lead to content removal and, ultimately, the suspension of your account.
Part 1: Content Rules
What you can and cannot upload to our site.
✅ Allowed & Encouraged (Green Zone)
- Sound Effects (SFX): gunshots, footsteps, nature sounds, UI sounds, etc.
- Memes and Phrases: recognizable sounds from the internet, movies, games, shows, and streams.
- Short Music Clips: samples and looped segments (up to 10 seconds) used as memes or effects.
⚠️ Prohibited (Yellow Zone — content removal, possible ban)
- Full music tracks. This site is not a pirate library. Uploading entire copyrighted songs is forbidden. Your account will be suspended after several violations.
- Low-quality content. We reserve the right to remove sounds that:
- Have terrible quality (recorded on a calculator, crackling, clipping).
- Contain long periods of silence at the beginning or end.
- Have nonsensical names (`sound123.mp3`) or empty tags. Name and describe sounds so they can be found.
- Sounds intended solely for insult. We are not a platform for bullying. Audio files consisting exclusively of racial, ethnic, or religious slurs are prohibited and will be removed.
- Spam and incorrect categorization. Do not upload the same sound 10 times. Do not put Russian memes in the English section to 'get them noticed.' This breaks the search for everyone.
- Providing false license information. You must correctly specify whether you are the author of the sound (CC0) or if it is a quote (Fair Use). Providing incorrect license information is a serious violation and will lead to an account ban.
❌ Absolutely Forbidden (Red Zone — removal and immediate ban)
- Hate speech and calls to violence. Any content that directly incites violence or promotes hatred.
- Threats, doxxing, and harassment. Publishing someone's personal information or direct threats against other people.
- Any other illegal content. This includes, but is not limited to: shock content, fraud, and adult material.
Part 2: User Rules
How to conduct yourself on the platform.
- Be respectful. This is the main rule from which all others follow. Treat others with respect.
- Respect the reporting system. The 'Report' button is a tool for maintaining order, not for settling scores. Mass false reporting will lead to restrictions on your account.
- Do not try to break the site. Any attempts at DDoS attacks, hacking, exploiting vulnerabilities, or using automation (bots) for spam and other malicious actions are prohibited.
- One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to evade bans, limits, or to inflate numbers is forbidden.
